Diogo Boitac

Diogo Boitac was an architect and engineer in the 16th century. He has so many different ways to write his name. He worked on some of the most important buildings in Portugal. Born around 1460 and died in Batalha in 1528 ( these dates are uncertain).Also, he built buildings in Lisbon and Morocco. Boitac built the monastery of Jesus and was founded by Justas Rodriguez Pereira, Hieronymites monastery in Belem. Some other building he built in Portugal was, Church of St Maria, Golegã, Portugal, Convent of Batalha, Hospital Real Todos os Santos, Jeronimos Monastry, Lamagdelna, and Se Guarda. He uses the style of architecture that was called Manueline.He is from the French origin.
